Insurance is very important and necessary. It must cover the whole period of your staying in Switzerland. “Multy Edge Group” offers services of two insurance companies:

A passport which must be valid for at least three months after the date when the holder leaves Switzerland. |

An application form duly completed and signed by the applicant: Applications which are not fully completed dated and signed will not be accepted. |

A confirmed round-trip ticket to your home country (original and copy). Open tickets are not accepted. |

When travelling by vehicle, international driving licence and vehicle ID (original and copy). |

Confirmation of prepaid hotel accommodation or a holiday flat, giving details of the customer's name and length of stay. Computer or internet print-outs are not accepted. |

Confirmation from the employer giving details of the date on which the applicant's work contract begins, salary, and whether employment is ensured on the applicant's return from Switzerland. |
 |
Proof of adequate financial resources, for example, signed traveller's checks of US$ 100 per day and so on. |
 |
Written confirmation that applicant will leave Switzerland at the end of his/her visit . |

Accident/medical insurance (original and copy) |

If requested, a valid visa in your travel document for the country you are visiting after Switzerland. |
Travellers who wish to enter Switzerland as tourists must apply in person to the Visa Section or they can be represented by a travel agency accredited to the Swiss Embassy in Moscow.

Important Information |
 |
In accordance with the agreement of 6 November 1963 between Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, Swiss entry regulations also apply to applications for entering the Principality of Liechtenstein. |
 |
Switzerland is not a member of the Schengen Treaty, therefore Swiss visas cannot be used to visit the Schengen countries and Schengen visas are not valid to enter Switzerland. |
 |
Each application is checked individually and no guarantee can be given that a visa will be issued. The Embassy cannot be held responsible for costs involved when a visa is refused. Please note that in certain cases the application has to be submitted to the authorities in Switzerland. In such cases, it may take some weeks until a decision is taken (up to 12 weeks). |
 |
If an applicant’s request has to be sent to the responsible immigration authorities in Switzerland, the Embassy will charge 5 USD postage. |
 |
All foreigners (non-Russian citizens) living in Russia have to show the GUVD-Registration in their passport or a copy of their permit « permanent-living ». |

If a child below the age of 18 travels without parents, an authorisation signed by the legal guardian in front of a notary public is required. |

Airports of Zurich and Geneva have the same terminals with railway terminals. Trains depart every 20 minutes from the airports and the trip lasts about 25 minutes. In Basel the airport is connected with the center of the town by bus line; buses depart every 30 minutes and get you to the center in 15-20 minutes. In Bern the airport and railway station is connected by the circular taxi (the trip takes 20 minutes). Airports in Lugano is connected by the same model.

Transport |
Public vehicles.
Bus is the main type of passenger vehicles. There are trolleybuses along with the buses functioning in cities and there are tramways in Zurich and Geneva.
Lausanne has it’s own subway. Inter-city transport is mainly railway.
Transport is expensive in Switzerland. A bus ticket costs not less than Sfr.2 in cities, and Sfr.1,5 in towns.
Trains.
But the cost of a train ticket may shock even a seasoned traveler. For example, a one way 1-st class ticket from Zurich to Geneva costs Sfr.77, from Zermatt to Geneva is about Sfr.100 .
Shops.
Most shops are open on week days from 8.30 till 18.30.
On Thursday they work till 20.00. On Saturday they work from 8.00 till 12.00 and from 14.00 till 17.00. Switzerland is famous for its jewelry, watches and chocolates. Here you can find production of such firms as “Omega”, “Tissot”, “Longines”, “IWC”, “Rolex”, “Swatch”, “Cartier”.
Medical requirements.
There are no infections in Switzerland. A person must be injected only if he/she was in the epidemic territory 14 days before arrival to Switzerland. In the case of visit to the doctor or hospitalization you need to deposit or to produce you insurance. As a rule after the hospitalization you will receive the invoice but you may be asked for paying at once in the hospital.
