 |
One of the most chic hotels was opened in 1896 and was considered as the first hotel-palace in the world. It is situated in the heart of the legendary village of St. Moritz. With unrivalled views over the lake to the Alps, Badrutt's Palace offers uncompromising levels of service in both winter and summer.
Hotel information: 209 guestrooms, 39 suites. Open mid-December to early April , and end of June to early September
Dining
Guests can choose to dine in the famed Le Restaurant, with its superb French cuisine and extensive wine list, or sample Le Relais, which celebrates today's contemporary dining in a casually elegant ambience. The Chesa Veglia, sited in the 17th-century Engadine farmhouse, offers a variety of other dining choices.
Recreation and health
Badrutt's offers an in-house ski shop and ski school, available to all guests wishing to take advantage of the numerous downhill and cross- country ski slopes. Also offered are a private ice rink, an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, massage, Jacuzzi, steam bath solarium, and a gym and fitness studio. In summer, three outdoor private tennis courts are available, and coaching is provided by the resident pro. Nearby are golf, sailing, and horseback riding
