Introduction |
The summer holiday is a special time of year.
In keeping with the Le Rosey tradition of excellence, the Summer Camp creates a memorable experience for over 250 boys and girls aged 9 to 16.
Le Rosey summer camp is organised, supervised and directed by one of the most reputed schools in the world: it benefits from a hundred years of experience, unique infrastructures and the magnificent Rosey campus.
Language courses, intensive sports training, artistic pursuits, outings, cruises, theme nights… so many unforgettable memories. The Le Rosey Summer Camp, where children from over forty countries live together, provides an opportunity for students to form lasting friendships and for each student to be a part of life in a community based on respect, sharing and receptiveness to new experience.
Le Rosey summer camp is ambitious and intends to develop in a few weeks the ethical values of Le Rosey: team spirit, respect for one's neighbor and friendship in a happy, disciplined, family like environment.
It is studious in the morning: small classes (of 5 to 10 children) offering imaginative, linguistic studies in French, English or German and completed by a permanent exposure to an atmosphere where one is strongly recommended to immediately practice the language studied.
The afternoons are extremely sportive: more than twenty sports are offered on the campus and at the Le Rosey nautical center by monitors who are extremely attentive to the security and well-being of the students and their progress.

Languages. |
Between the end of Summer Camp and the start of term in September, Le Rosey organizes an intensive English Camp, specifically designed for incoming students to the Anglo-American section who are beginners in the English language.
The course enables these students to acquire a basic working knowledge of the language and to gain the necessary confidence to express themselves in English.
Many different teaching methods are used, such as Internet research, word-processing, games, role-plays and other language activities.
Lessons are complemented by a varied sporting and cultural program, providing a further opportunity for oral practice. Horseback riding, rafting, sailing, hiking and visits to museums and international organizations are just some of the many activities on offer.
The close contact with the teachers and family atmosphere provides total immersion for the students.

The Le Rosey campus is a paradise for sport lovers with its 2 swimming pools, 2 gymnasiums, 10 tennis courts, soccer and rugby fields, basketball courts, fitness center, beach volleyball, judo areas, athletics facilities, archery range, a shooting range and much more…
A center for water sports complete with laser dinghies, a yacht used for cruises and motorboats for water-skiing is located on the lake. The instructors ensure that appropriate security measures are taken for each sport or activity, whether it is beginners or experienced students who are taking part.
